Adoption Happy Tails
CJ's Kitten:
My Grandson, C.J., 12, found a very weak and frightened kitten only a few weeks old. Out of concern for the welfare of the little animal, he took it in arms to the Humane Society of Sumner County Adoption Center, not knowing how to care for it since the baby was not weaned from his mother who had abandoned it.
My grandson was warmly greeted by a caring individual, the adoption center manager, Jeanmarie. She assured CJ that she would give a complete physical and take the little kitten home to bottle feed until the kitten was old enough to be adopted. This she did along with 7 others she was already bottle feeding! She asked if CJ's Daddy might consider adopting the kitten and having her spayed when she was strong enough to leave the center. He gratefully agreed and my Grandson anxiously awaited the day he could bring her home.
CJ is now the proud guardian of a very active and healthy kitten at home. I want to express my sincere thanks to this indivdual and organization! It is heartwarming to know that the Humane Society of Sumner County is being operated by such devoted and caring individuals who volunteer their time to soothe a little kitten and a little boy.

Kindest regards,
