What's New Photo Contest for 2011 Calendar It's that time once again. We are accepting submissions for the HSSC 2011 Calendar! Submit the following form via mail or drop-off with your picture and donation of $10.00 per picture by September 4th to enter. to print entry form, click here Paws for Love Summer Greetings! Won't you take a minute to pause, I mean, PAWS for Love? PAWS for Love is our summer fundraising campaign which generates funds to aid in the care of the many special animals awaiting adoption at our center. With your support, we provide the medical vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, housing, and the one-on-one care that is required by the many companion animals we see on any given day. Many of these wonderful pets arrive at our adoption center because of a change-of-life crisis at home, some are lost, and many are just abandoned. Some of these animals require costly medical bills. With your support, we will continue to provide a save, clean, and healthy facility for these animals in which to live until they are reunited with their guardians or adopted into the life of their dreams. With each donation, as a show of support, HSSC will place a colorful paper PAW on our adoption center windows with your name and a furry family member's name on it. Our organization subsists solely on donations. With your gift, we can continue to care for these animals in need. On May 22nd, we got a suprise that we shall not soon forget....Dollar General and Pedigree donated $10,000 to HSSC..along with 4 other local shelters at the adoption day! Some of our adoptable animals as well as animals from the other local shelters also got great exposure on that day! We are SO HAPPY for those animals that did get ADOPTED! Thank you so much to Dollar General Corporation, and Pedigree! We encourage you to support these wonderful organizations! In honor of Maurices one year anniversary in Hendersonville, located at Glenbrook Shopping Center, they invited people to vote for their favorite local charity to donate $500 to. We're happy to tell you that The Humane Society of Sumner County was voted as that recipient! A big hearty "Thank You!" goes out to Maurices and the community that voted for us. Tuscan Nights - September 18th
On September 18, 2010, we will be having our first Tuscan Nights Fundraiser at the beautiful Thistletop Inn in Goodlettsville, TN! The Menu is Italian and will be catered by Moveablefeast, Inc. There will also be a wonderful selection of vendors under lighted tents along the path. Come eat, drink, and shop while listening to the soothing Jazz music performed by Teresa Collier! Current Events Membership Drive It's that time again animal lovers... The annual HSSC membership drive is underway. Memberships in the Humane Society of Sumner County start at $25.00 per year.
